Pool Inspections
Orangevale, El Dorado Hills, Folsom, Granite Bay, Cameron Park, and Surrounding Areas
A pool inspection should top the list of priorities of homeowners looking to purchase a house with a pool. Otherwise, what is supposed to be a peaceful aquatic oasis can quickly turn into a safety concern and financial liability.
A thorough pool inspection by a reputable pool technician may uncover complications a homeowner may not see. The pool might look perfectly fine to the untrained eye, but a professional inspection can reveal numerous foundation, drainage system, and equipment issues.
With the knowledge of what could become a hazard and what desperately needs repairing, homeowners can decide whether to proceed with the house purchase.
Key benefits of pool inspections
Owning a pool comes with many perks; however, it also comes with responsibilities, and a yearly pool inspection ranks high on the list. Hereβs why pool owners or those looking to become owners should schedule yearly pool inspections:
Detecting problems:
As with other home-related items, pool components malfunction from time to time. One broken seal in the equipment can cause a colossal leak. With regular pool inspections, homeowners can detect issues early on and resolve them before they escalate.
Eliminating health hazards:
Keeping chlorine levels in check is essential for maintaining a healthy swimming environment. Inadequate chlorine levels do nothing but invite trouble. Algae growth, eye and skin infections, and murky water are some unfortunate scenarios an inspection helps pool owners avoid.
Preventing accidents:
Although pools are about fun, owners must always prioritize safety above fun. A broken tile can cut someone, resulting in needed medical attention. A pool inspection will cover the safety hazards, minimizing the risk of accidents and injuries and maximizing fun and enjoyment.
Swimming Pool Inspections Before Purchasing A Property
The last thing a homeowner wants to learn after purchasing their dream home is that the pool will be a money pit!
Our team of qualified, experienced professionals thoroughly inspects pools and all of their associated items so prospective homeowners can buy a house with a pool with confidence.
We suggest allowing between 1 to 2 hours on the day of inspection.
We document the poolβs features and accessories with pictures and descriptions neatly organized into a digital report emailed to the client within 24 to 48 hours from payment.
Payment is due at the time of inspection if the client/agent is present. If not, the invoice can be prepaid or emailed on the inspection date.
If the client/agent is present, we will briefly review the report at the end of our inspection process. We are incredibly knowledgeable and can help our customers understand the findings of the pool inspection. The details we present allow them to make the best decisions on their new pool or spa in the future.
The inspection fee starts at $275. (depending on location and size.)
Our detailed inspections include, but are not limited to:
The pool/spa surface and deck condition (cracks, discoloration, pitting) and the coping surrounding the pool area (open joints, cracking)
Drain covers for the presence of anti-vortex/anti-entrapment covers for safety concerns
Pool/spa lights, GFCI devices, all pumps, filters, above-ground plumbing, timers, heaters, controls, accessories, skimmers, and electrical bonding
The operation of the equipment, common leakage points, proper skimming, the functionality of the filtration system, heater activation, and filter pressure
Exact/accurate water chemistry testing, examined digitally to remove the standard human error that occurs with test strips or reagent kits
Upon completion of the inspection, we generate a detailed report. This report will summarize our findings, include general maintenance tips, and identify areas needing attention. These added value tips will help our clients understand how to make the pool functional and have reasonable upkeep expectations. Our comprehensive report lets them become confident in their purchase decision and look forward to endless weekends in their new backyard.
